This collection was inspired by a visit to Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.

fell in love with the button collection they have on display.

Being a bit of a nostalgic soul I pondered on how the buttons reminded me of Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens.

I always found the passage describing Amy treasuring a button which had fallen off Arthur’s Clennam’s jacket particularly moving and a reminder of how memories and feelings can be invoked by the simplest of things.

Lace, dainty gloves, gentle stitching and of course buttons all feature.

You can purchase the collection by the yardage, as wallpaper or on other homewares by clicking the image.
