Beautiful high quality hand finished celestial moon art print called 'The Kind Moon'
Inspired by the English Folktale ‘The Buried Moon’ in which the kindness of the moon leads to her being trapped beneath the murky waters in the marshes but she is finally rescued by the local folk.
She arises back into the night's sky in a dazzling display. It is a great tale of kindness and lightness overcoming darkness.
I have written a blog post about the full story which inspired this artwork.
The art print is printed in my studio with archival pigment inks on beautifully velvety 312gsm Fine Art paper.
The paper has a natural colour so is a lovely warm colour similar to watercolour paper.
To make the print even more special I have hand finished the print with small areas of metallic gold detailing. See pictures.
The paper measures 8” x 8” which includes half an inch border so it is easier to frame.
I sign and date each print in pencil on the back.
The listing is for an unframed print only.
It fits straight in a standard 8” x 8” frame or in a larger frame with a card mount. If you need any advice regarding this please feel free to ask me.
Each print is packaged flat with a backing board, inside a clear protective sleeve, and sent in a cardboard envelope to ensure the best protection.
